Aviation Online has represented Air Malta in Australia, New Zealand and the South West Pacific since 2003.
Air Malta is Malta’s National Airline. The airline offers customers a selection of around 40 scheduled destinations to Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, the Eastern Mediterranean and the Gulf.
The airline operates one of the youngest aircraft fleets in Europe, namely a state-of-the-art Airbus fleet of 11 aircraft from the A320 and A319 family.Starting from modest beginnings with 53,500 passengers transported in the first year of operation, Air Malta now carries an average of 2.1 million passengers every year and has, since its first flight operated on 1st April 1974, transported over 37 million passengers to and from Malta.Apart from flights to/from Malta, Air Malta is also expanding its intra European network and currently operates scheduled services from Catania to Frankfurt, Munich and Geneva and between Reggio Calabria and Rome.
The airline also offers a wide range of destinations beyond its own network by means of codeshare agreements that are in place with a number of quality airlines.
